home made base for small tower to support the MegaHex

30 meter feed showing 1:1 50 ohm balun, shunt coil,
Mega Hex is up!
and Ameritron RCS-4 coax switch
40 meter elements at 48 feet
RCS-4 controls the switching through the coax feedline
30 meter elements at 41 feet
lowered to 22'
tilted - I can get to any point by tilting and rotating
Measurements taken very low to the ground -
expected frequency to rise as antenna goes higher (?)
After raising the MegaHex, additional tuning and adjusting was completed
frequency rise noted to be about 40 KC only
CAUTION!
I am using separate feedlines for 30 and 40
meters.
because of this, I can use monoband matching techniques.
DIMENSIONS AND MATCHING
NOT SUITABLE FOR MULTI-BAND - SINGLE
FEEDLINE SYSTEMS!
